Luton Town will face Shrewsbury Town next season as they were relegated from League One after a 4-2 home defeat by Peterborough yesterday.

The Shrews join Stevenage who are already down, while Carlisle, Tranmere, Notts County and Colchester will contest the last two spaces on the final day next week.

In League Two, Rochdale and Scunthorpe won promotion, while Chesterfield and Fleetwood can still claim third spot.

Torquay dropped into the Conference despite a 3-1 win at Mansfield, with Wycombe, Northampton and Bristol Rovers all battling to avoid joining them next Saturday.

Looking to join Hatters in the Football League are Cambridge United, Gateshead, Grimsby and FC Halifax Town, with their play-off matches starting this week.
