Ex-Town skipper Ronnie Henry believes Hatters can go on to further success in League Two next season.
The defender, who left the club last week, captained Stevenage to successive promotions from the Conference and League Two earlier in his career and believes Town could eventually follow suit.
He said: “They might not get promoted next year, it might take a little bit longer, but he’s done remarkably well.
“They will definitely stay in League Two and in the next few years they will push on to League One, I’m positive about that and really hope they do.”
After winning the Skrill Premier title, Henry admitted he had hoped to lead the club in League Two though.
