Disappointed Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law has revealed defender Lathaniel Rowe-Turner has been recalled from his loan spell by the Hatters.
The Reds gad been keen to extend the defender’s four-month stay at the Impact Arena, but with Alfreton riding high in third place he believes teams aren’t willing to do them any more favours.
He said: “We would have liked to have extended the loan – and I think the lad would have liked to stay as well – but it was out of our hands in the end.
“It came down to the term of his contract with Luton and how they wanted to take things forward.
“He did really well during his time with us and we were really pleased with him.
“So it’s a bit of a blow that Luton have called him back, especially as it doesn’t look like he features in their future plans.
“We’ve had this with a few of the top clubs now. They’ve helped us out in the past but, whether we are or not, they seem to be starting to see us as a threat now.
“I suppose we should take it as a compliment but it doesn’t help us.”
