Hatters defender Danny Fitzsimons is desperate for pre-season to come round so he can finally get back to playing once more.
The summer signing from Histon has barely kicked a ball in anger for Town after an injury in pre-season ended his campaign before it had started.
Fitzsimons is on schedule to return in time for Town’s League Two preparations as he said: “I had the operation six months ago, so hopefully I’ll back in for pre-season.
“That’s my main aim, so I will be working over the summer, and be ready to go for July 1.
“I’m desperate to get back as it’s been such a long season.”
Although Fitzsimons had to watch from the sidelines as Hatters romped to the Skrill Premier title, he felt fully part of the celebrations and lifting the title in front of thousands of supporters at the civic reception last month further emphasised to just how big a club Town are.
