The 22-year-old forward has made two appearances during pre-season, playing against Bedford Town and Boreham Wood while spending a fortnight training with Nathan Jones’ squad.

A graduate of Plymouth Argyle’s academy, Vassell has scored 24 goals in two seasons with Vanarama National League South club Truro City since his release from Home Park in 2014.

Speaking to the club’s official website, boss Nathan Jones said: “Isaac is a lad we’ve known about for a while.

“We had him watched at Truro and wanted to get him into our own environment to see how he’d adapt.

“He’s come in and done well enough for us to see something in him that we can work with. We are delighted to have him here because he did have other options.

“He is one to be excited about because he has so much more to prove and to give.He has good attributes already, but we believe we can work with him to add to them and bring the potential out of him.”
