Luton boss to make one more signing

Former Plymouth and Truro City attacker Isaac Vassell became signing number seven of the summer this afternoon, penning a one-year deal as Jones confirmed he still had one more addition in the pipeline.

Speaking after the 2-1 win over Brighton this afternoon, he said: “One more, which we know who we want, it’s just getting it over the line.

“The club has been fantastic, the recruitment department and the club in backing me with everything I’ve wanted really.

“We’ve earmarked the ones we wanted early and managed to do a lot of our businesss very early. Now there’s just one more to do and if we can do that then we’ll be in a good place.

“I was hoping it was going to happen this week, was hoping we’d have him available for today but it hasn’t been and then there’s been a slight delay.

“Without saying too much, it’s up to his club now.”
