Former Luton favourite Amari Morgan-Smith is back training with the Hatters hoping to earn a new deal as he feels he still ‘owes’ the club, writes Mark Wood.
The powerful attacker impressed during his two seasons with the Town after signing from Ilkeston in 2010, scoring 18 goals in 48 appearances, including an FA Cup hat-trick against St Albans.
Morgan-Smith departed the Hatters following their play-off final defeat to York City in 2012, but is keen for another chance to make a mark after leaving Macclesfield Town in the summer.
Managing director Gary Sweet revealed: “He contacted me explaining that he feels he owed us something so I put him in touch with John.”
