Hatters midfielder JJ O’Donnell has announced his exit from Kenilworth Road.
The 22-year-old midfielder made 51 appearances for Town scoring three times, but played just twice in the league last campaign after loan spells at Hyde and Gateshead.
After confirming his departure on Twitter, O’Donnell wrote: “4 and a half years later it’s finally time to say goodbye to Kenilworth Road!
“The privilege every time I was lucky enough to pull on the LUton Town shirt both in training and match days will live with me forever.
“I want to thank all my team mates I’ve played with over the yers some of who I really do consider friends for life.
“Also thanks to all the staff I’ve worked under who without them, I wouldn’t be the player and person I am today!
“But most of all to the outstanding supporters who over the years has been an honour to play in front of.
“I’ve always received a great reception whenevr I’ve been on the pitch and for that I can only thank every single one of you!
“I will take many memories with me, but my debut, my first goal and the 26/01/2013 at Carrow Road will always at the top of the list.
“I wish everyone at the club all the best in climbing the Football League pyramid and who knows I could return again one day.
“The results of all the Luton games shall be the first I look for! Thank you for everything and I love you all!”
