Buoyant young defender Joe Davis is keen to extend his stay at Kenilworth Road after his loan deal from Port Vale came to an end following Saturday’s goalless draw at Lincoln City, writes Mark Wood.
He has played nine times for the Hatters during his month-long stay and has yet to taste defeat, having played in seven wins and two draws, with Luton conceding just four goals.
The 20-year-old said: “It’s been brilliant, I’ve loved every minute of it, just playing games and getting that taste back, you can’t beat it.
“I hope I can stay, it’s been mayhem so I haven’t really had a chance to speak to the gaffer, but I’m sure I’ll speak to him maybe when I get back and try and sort something out.”
