Make home games count
Top teams are not away in the clouds
Town boss Richard Money has called on his side to make the most of the long run of home games between now and the end of the season.
Speaking at Friday's press conference, he said: "We've got to try and cement our position. It's not going to be easy as there are a number of teams still in contention.
"After tomorrow we have eight of the last 12 games at home. A club of our stature, and with our squad, we should be looking to push on from here."
And, having won 3-2 at Hayes & Yeading on Saturday he refused to give up the ghost on top spot, again pointing to their run of home fixtures between now and the end of the season.
Money said: "It's three at home now and more interestingly eight out of the last 12 are at home so we feel we have it in our own hands.
"It's never been a hindrance to me playing at home. Playing in front of 7,000 people in the Conference. We've got to grab it by the scruff of the neck.
"I don't think the top two are away and clear, not just from us. I think there are a number of teams still in contention.
"There's eight or nine teams realistically involved. If Stevenage and Oxford are up there thinking they are away in the clouds, the best of luck to them. This time of year does tend to throw up one or two shock results and we were on the wrong end of one recently.
"I think there are a lot of teams still involved for sure."
And while he admitted coming to Luton does inspire opposition teams, he believes the players must do all they can to get the Kenilworth Road faithful behind them.
He added: "They do relish it, that's the problem. It's a cup final for them, something they've never experienced and it lifts them. There's no doubt in my mind the crowd are going to be very important for us from now until the end of the season.
"We have to get them very quickly with us in games and get them to drive us on."
