Money ready for Grimsby clash
Hatters prepare for trip to Blundell Park
Luton Town will be out to end their three-games winless streak in front of the TV cameras when they travel to Grimsby Town tomorrow.
The Hatters have picked up just two points from their last three games, but Premier Sports have picked the match at Blundell Park to mark the opening of their television deal with the Blue Square Bet Premier.
It means the game has been put back to 5.15pm and Town boss Richard Money is ready for a crunch clash with the Mariners, who were relegated out of the Football League last season.
He said: "I think I've said on a number of occasions. I'm not being respectful to anyone in this division, I really don't think it matters who we play. They're all fighting for their lives in some way shape or form.
"In the early season, everybody starts with optimism. The league is very tight at the top, there are a number of teams in that group.
"They've been relegated and you would expect that they'll be up there all season and it will be tough game. There are no easy games in this league and we won't be approaching it any different to how we did Hayes at home."
Money has a few selection headaches ahead of the match as winger Andy Drury is suspended, while full back Freddie Murray misses out again.
New signing Taiwo Atieno will make the trip to Blundell Park, but Money gave no hint as to whether he would be in the squad.
The boss said: "He will be on the bus, he'll be having a pre-match meal and at the stadium at Grimsby along with 17 other players.
"We have one injury in Freddie Murray, who opened his knee up against Tamworth, but he will be fit next Saturday and obviously Drury is suspended."
Hatters are currently fourth in the table, while Grimsby are just one point and four places behind them.
After three wins from the opening three matches, expectation amongst supporters was understandably high, but Money insists the campaign has still got off to a promising beginning.
He added: "We have 11 points from the first six games, its a decent enough start and want to be able to push on from here and that's what we need to do.
"I don't think you can be over the top and over the board when you've won three games in a row, and I don't think you can be down in the dumps when you don't.
"Forty six games is a long season and it's not where you start it's where you finish. The objective for us this year is to put ourselves in contention much quicker than we did last year and I believe we have done that.
"Over the course of six matches, we've won three, drawn two and lost one. I don't think there's too much wrong with that. If we continue that I don't think we'll be too far away."
