Blair takes sixth at Nitro Athletics Trophy

Headlined by the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, the event saw three nights of athletics staged at Melbourne’s Lakeside Stadium.

Teams include Australia, Bolt’s All-Stars, China, Japan, England and New Zealand.

Blair finished sixth in the first round of the javelin as she threw 50.24m, some way off winner Kara Winger, who came first with 61.16m.

In her three other throws, Blair managed 45.61m, 48.86m and 46.26m.

She improved her distance to 50.44m in the final round of the event, although still came sixth, with Japan’s Katsuya Nakamura in top spot on an impressive 70.20m.

Olympic champion star of the meet, Bolt, won the 150m in 15.28secs as his side triumphed ahead of Australia and China.
