Luton golfer Robert Grant is looking to make his breakthrough on the Jamega Tour after turning pro recently.
The 21-year-old had his first event earlier this year and shot a creditable level par 73 at his home Luton Hoo course.
The former Icknield and Luton Sixth Form student is now looking to take part in the qualifying events for the Alps and Asian tours during December and January.
On turning pro, Grant, who has become a member of the England Futures Squad, and was nominated for the ‘Student Athlete of the Year’ award at Alabama State University, said: “I’m excited to turn professional and gain experience in competitive tournament golf.
“I’ve worked so hard to get to this point, and will continue to do so. The course at Luton Hoo is fantastic for practice and the staff at the hotel have been incredibly supportive.”
