Dunstable Downs’ member and professional golfer Robert Sutton has made a good start to the 2015 golf season, making two cuts out of three starts on the PGA Europro Tour.

Sutton gained a full tour card for 2015 season after finishing 63rd in the 2014 order of merit.

The 24-year-old has played at Dunstable Downs GC since the age of 13 and started this year’s competitive season at Celtic Manor, Wales where he made the cut and finished 56th overall, despite testing conditions.

At his next tournament he missed the cut at Frilford Heath, Oxfordshire and this week finished a credible 17th overall after shooting level par for three rounds at Burrhill GC, Surrey.

Next up for Sutton is a visit to Longhirst Hall GC, Northumberland, while he then has the Open Regional Qualifying at The Buckinghamshire GC on June 22.
