Chiltern Ladies made amends for a 4-0 defeat to Cheshunt last week, by drawing their Five Counties Division One clash 2-2 on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, Chiltern moved ahead when Beth Carlisle teed up Emma Cook to put the hosts in front.

Chiltern then led 2-0 as Nicarra Berry’s quick-thinking saw Carlisle place the ball into the corner.

However, Cheshunt battled back well in the latter stages to score twice and draw level as star player went to Kate Isger.

The IIs were held to a goalless draw by leaders Stevenage IVs in Division Three.

The hosts started well as player of the match Teresa Ashby made some fine saves to keep Stevenage out.

Chiltern then had a short corner cleared off the line, while after the break, the visitors held firm with a fine display full of grit, determination and skill.

In Division Five, the IIIs played out a 1-1 draw with Shefford & Sandy IVs, as Kirsty Williams was on target, with Loraine Cherrill named top performer.

Meanwhile, the club entered two teams at the Stevenage HC Annual Grass Tournament on Sunday.

The ‘Hens’ made up of first XI players finished third overall, beating the Cheshunt team they faced at the weekend.

The combined IIs/IIIs ‘Chicks’ had a tougher draw, as they came away with the wooden spoon.
