Dunstable SC entered two teams for The Bee Allen Cup Gala at the Dunstable pool.

The event was a B grade gala where No Faster Times were in place, as Dunstable had Blues and Whites teams in place, with competition from Flitwick, Leighton Buzzard and Henley.

Blues got off to a terrific start, with third and second place in their first few races.

The club then enjoyed a selection of fantastic team relays, where the No Faster Times were not in place and the swimmers could really go for it, as Whites managed four first places.

At the halfway point things, LB were leading with 137 points from DSC Whites (134), Flitwick (126) DSC Blues (108) and Henley (64).

The competition began to hot up in the second half as Blues were comfortably winning second and third places, while Whites were winning their races, but clocked three ‘too fasts’ in a row.

The final stages were all about the Dunstable Whites as they clocked up seven first place positions and winning the ‘cannon’ race.

Unfortunately with a couple of DQs and five ‘too fasts’, the Dunstable Whites team were pushed into second

DSC picked up some wonderful PBs at this event, 19 for the boys and 13 for the girls with the Whites team celebrating 21 first places.

Results: 1 Leighton Buzzard, 243pts; 2 DSC Whites, 229; 3 Flitwick, 196’ 4 Dunstable Blues, 181; 5 Henley, 117.
