The hosts then had a 10 minute purple patch that should have seen them score two or three times but were let down by poor handling and strange decision making.

Dees’ constant pressure almost told as they won a penalty, but opted to run and the ball was lost.

Biggleswade hit back with a converted try to lead 7-5 and were soon even further ahead thanks to another score.

With five minutes of the half remaining, Dunstablians made it 12-10 thanks to a well-worked try.

A brief fightback saw Dees kick a penalty to trail 24-13, before they were denied a try and a double movement.

Biggleswade then took control as they ran in a final converted score to make it 31-13.

Dees travel to Wellingborough next week as they look to get their hunt for promotion back on track.
