Luton Rugby are back on track

Following losses against North Walsham and Colchester, Luton struggled to gain momentum early on as loose passing and knock ons were the theme for both sides. As the half progressed, Luton gained momentum as their passing improved, and Craig South was able to bag his first try of the afternoon in the 23rd minute, although Rik Hobbs missed the conversion.

The remainder of the half was affected by windy conditions, as both teams looked to kick to touch and win line-outs.

After the break, Hobbs crossed the line to score with 51 minutes gone and he added the extras to make it 12-0.

Luton were now dominating proceedings and Jonny Wright increased the lead with his first try of the campaign.

They kept pushing forward as South went over for his scored score, although Hobbs once again missed the conversion.

With ball in hand though, he was soon in the action, touching down after a beautiful dummy and side step by Adam Harris.

This time he got his radar spot on to make it 29-0, while Tesh Edwards was the next to go over as Luton extended their advantage.

A flurry of substitutions by Woodford followed but they were unable to halt the Luton tide as Wright doubled his personal tally; Scott Aspinell missed the conversion.
