In what was arguably Park’s most complete team performance of the season so far, the visitors’ forwards were excellent, led from the front by skipper Jamie Hoque.

They played with measured discipline in defence and in the crucial last quarter of the game denied the home team any supply of the ball as they camped menacingly in the Oundle 22.

Once again, Stockwood started with a flourish, putting the hosts under immediate pressure and took the lead on 12 minutes.

Steve Pollock, who had an excellent game at full back, came charging into the line at pace, outrunning the home defence,to score a fine try which he also converted.

Oundle were soon putting Park defence under pressure and kicked a penalty to make the score 7-3.

However, Park were once again on the attack and with Ben Griffin prominent, they increased their lead to 12-3 when scrum half, Alex Lovell, burrowed his way over after excellent play from the forwards.
