Sibley out to become a regular for Luton RFC

Luton RFC number eight Connor Sibley says is aiming to become a first team regular in Paul Alston’s starting 15 this season.

Sibley has been playing for Luton since he was four years old, rising through the academy to become a regular for the men’s seconds.

The 23-year-old says he is set on becoming a crucial player for Luton and revealed the side is well under way with season preparations.

Sibley, studies Sports therapy at the University of Bedfordshire (UOB), said: “We started training from the end of June.

“The coaches want us to be sharp for the start of the season, we really want to push on this year.”

Sibley wasn’t shy in sharing Luton’s targets, stating the club is aiming for a top end finish in London One North and some silverware too.

He continued: “We are hoping for a top three finish and winning the East Midlands Cup.

“We want to enjoy a consistent run throughout all our senior squads next season.

“We let ourselves down last term but we have made some changes to the squad and behind the scenes.

“The team wants to prove its stature and play at a high level, I’m confident we can achieve that.”
