Town target Wembley return

Gnakpa keen for another big day out

The chance to relive last season's glorious day out at Wembley will help to drive the Hatters on in the FA Trophy according to Claude Gnakpa.

The 26-year-old Frenchman scored Town's winner in the 3-2 extra-time victory against Scunthorpe in April's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final win and is dreaming of more success this season.

He said: "I'm very happy after my goal against Cambridge and my goal at Wembley.

"For me, I want to go to the final of the FA Trophy. I'm sure we can do it. There's enough good players in our team to get to the final.

"I'm a winner. We are winners in the team.

"We won at Wembley and we know what it is to go there and win the game in front of our crowd and we want to do that again.

"I want to go back there. Obviously there's many games before Wembley. There's Cambridge, who are a different team.

"When they play against Luton it is like a final for them. Last time in Cambridge we won 4-3 which was unbelievable."

Saturday's game at the Abbey Stadium is all-ticket for Luton fans and gets under way at 12.30pm.

A total of 1,400 seats are available for Hatters fans until the close of business on Friday, with prices 12 for adults, 8 for seniors and students and 4 for children.

And manager Richard Money is also aiming to go all the way, adding: "I'm sure it's a game both teams will certainly want to win.

"If you get a bit of luck in the draw you can go a long way in the competition and with a date at Wembley at the end of it it's something we are definitely interested in."

With no obvious injuries picked up, Money should have a strong squad to pick from, with Matthew Barnes-Homer and Ashley Cain both available again after being ineligible for Tuesday night's 3-0 FA Cup second round replay win against Rotherham United.
