Luton-born and bred Andrea Magee is aiming for the top - but she needs a little help from some cyberspace fans to help her on her way.
Andrea - also known nas The Bubblegum Queen - wants to appear on the main stage at the Sunrise Festival near Yeovil between May 29-June 1. That's where you come in.
For although she's already booked to play with her band on the Out Of The Ordinary Stage, she needs to win a website competition in order to move up the pecking order.
All you need to do is visit Andrea's myspace page by clicking
here and click the 'vote for us' icon in the Sunrise banner.
Says Andrea: "It only takes leaving an email address to vote and the process if done from myspace takes all of 15-20 seconds.
"If I can secure this spot at Sunrise, it would be great for my band's profile in terms of listenership for when my EP will be ready, which is very shortly."
The festival was voted one of the top 10 in an article by The Guardian and has more than 200 acts on 12 stages in 13 arenas over four days.
Andrea says: "I am a lone gun and believe myself to have the songs and the determination to come good with not just winning this spot and the exposure it would give but ultimately, commercial success."
The Bubblegum Queen was regularly featured in local newspapers until the wanderlust took hold of her in 1995 and she took off to see the world.
Her musical journey took her first to the coffee houses of Los Angeles for a year, then back to London on the way to Italy, where she lived for three years, studying by day and strumming her guitar by night.
The hard graft paid off and she is convinced she's finally found her sound and has returned to the UK and found musicians to bring her songs to life.
Andrea's band includes musicians from Los Albertos, Martha Tilston and Phi-Life Cypher, and features a rapper, violinist and saxophonist playing funk fusion.
The music editor of Latest 7, Jeff Hemmings, said: "It is not often that a skilled and original funk fusion band comes along."
