Churchgoers gather for annual procession
Hundreds of churchgoers celebrated their faith by joining in the Good Friday Walk Of Witness through Dunstable town centre.

Led by the Dunstable Salvation Army Band, more than 300 people began their trek from St Mary's Catholic Church, in West Street.

One large cross and various smaller crosses were borne by the crowds along the way.

They stopped on The Square - outside the Methodist Church - and in The Quadrant for readings, prayers and hymns, before ending their walk outside the Priory Church.

Dunstable Churches Together (DCT) organise the annual event, during which police stop the traffic at times, to allow the walkers to cross busy roads safely.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
