But it all depends on funding
Dunstable's twinkle-toed Clark Brothers made such an impression on director Theo Delaney when they starred in an NTL commercial that he's currently in talks with a potential backer to film their life story.
The multi award-winning director - who has just added a British Television Advertisement Award for a Coca Cola campaign to his growing collection - was knocked out by octogenarians Steve and JImmy when they auditioned for the NTL job.
He said: "Their story is fantastic. And it's important to get it all down because it covers so many eras - Sinatra, the birth of Las Vegas, British royalty, civil rights, the race issue. There are so many different levels and elements. It's a fabulous opportunity for them to talk about their lives and the big names they worked with."
Theo has put together a package to raise money to make the film. He said: "The bigger the budget, the more resources we could use. It could be a lavish production shot in different locations across America and Europe. It would be so poignant taking them back to where it all began. That would make a fabulous feature-length documentary.
"But it doesn't need to be embellished with bells and whistles. It would be equally fascinating just getting the guys to tell their stories, using great archive material."
The brothers share a Dunstable bungalow - not the most obvious base for two showbiz celebrities. But when Steve sits down at the electric piano and Jimmy sings the melodies that have been enchanting audiences across the decades, they might just as well be on stage at the London Palladium.
Theo often makes the trip from his Soho office to discuss developments on the film front. He said: "I love being with them. I'd love to make their life story. And I hope it's not too long before we get started."
