Watch volunteers working at warehouse as Pasque appeals for more helpers
The Pasque Charity is looking for volunteers to help at its warehouse and charity shop on the Britannia Estate in Leagrave Road.
While people are, no doubt, aware of the high quality secondhand and new goods sold in the charity's nine shops, they're probably less familiar with the work that goes on behind the scenes.
It's the warehouse's remit to ensure all nine receive regular stock allocations – work carried out almost entirely by volunteers.
The charity's new head of retail Phillip Kojcinovic said: "Our warehouse volunteers play an important role in sorting, cleaning, valuing and packaging goods ready to go out to the shops. Even the drivers who deliver the stock are volunteers. So without their support our retailing business would really struggle."
The Pasque is also looking for anyone who can help in the warehouse shop at the site.
Phillip explained: "Volunteering in a charity shop is ideal for those who enjoy meeting and interacting with members of the public. It also provides an ideal opportunity for anyone wanting to gain retailing experience."
Volunteers can choose mutually convenient times and days but are asked to make a regular commitment.
The Pasque warehouse and shop need cover from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. No previous experience is necessary, as the charity will provide the necessary training.
