WEDNESDAY JUNE 1

Adults with learning difficulties arts and craft sessions. Every Wednesday 10.30am to 12.30pm and Saturdays from 11am to 1pm at Arttrend, Arundel Road, Luton. Social and creative activity for adults with learning difficulties, engaging in all types of art and craft work such as painting in acrylics, papier mache, salt dough, cross stitch, rug making etc. Please see the website www.arttrend.co.uk and go to Art ALD, then see the gallery of work already done. Luton Irish Forum holds a weekly Tuesday and Wednesday Club from 11am to 1.30pm at 102 Hitchin Road. This is a great chance to meet old friends and make some new ones.

Refreshments are all included along with soda bread, scones with jam and monthly chicken and chips.

Entry costs £1, plus optional £3 for two games of bingo and a raffle.

Beecroft Craft & Chat meet at Beecroft Community Centre in Westfield Road, Dunstable between 10am and 3pm on a “drop in/drop out” basis. Gave a cuppa, chat and craft together in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Its experienced crafters offer mini workshops on a variety of crafts and are always on hand to advise and help with any crafting problems you may have. All crafts welcome.

Young shoppers can have fun making bird feeders, pen holders, money boxes and planting seeds, while learning about recycling in The Mall, Luton.

A variety of recycled craft workshops are being held in Central Square to help children understand and learn about recycling. The event will be open from 11am to 4pm.

Theatre group Masquerade will be performing Wyrd Sisters at Parkside Hall, Ampthill. Based on Terry Pratchett’s novel, the play brings together a wicked Duke and Duchess, the ghost of a murdered king, dim soldiers, strolling players, and a land in peril. But three witches stand between the Kingdom and destruction. Their leader Granny Weatherwax, lively Nanny Ogg, and flowery Magrat Garlick, find themselves dragged into royal politics. Tickets cost £10 and the show starts at 7.45pm.

Featuring over two hours of the best blues, Motown, soul and comedy from both of the Blues Brothers movies, including Everybody Needs Somebody, Soul Man, Respect and Shake A Tail Feather.
