Luton’s most vibrant, colourful and exciting annual event takes place on Sunday, May 25 - our very own international carnival.
And the UK Centre for Carnival Arts is looking for people who want to be part of the party by volunteering on the day.
There’s a multiplicity of roles available – you can help ensure the procession runs smoothly by acting as a co-ordinator or steward, or support the event in an ambassadorial or fundrasing capacity.
Opportunities are also available to volunteer in the VIP tent or to assist with marketing in the lead-up to the event.
Volunteering provides a great chance to gain valuable work experience in a fast-paced environment while volunteers can also gain UCAS points if they’re applying to go to university.
UKCCA spokesman Carl Amos said: “A huge amount of work goes into making Luton Carnival the special day that it is and we always need helping hands on the day to ensure the event runs smoothly.”
“Volunteering is great for improving skills like teamwork and leadership.”
