Dancing giant Maxi Mum – complete with her own pram and folk group – will herald Greenbank Music Village’s 30th anniversary celebrations later this month.

High Town will be in the groove over the weekend of September 21/22 as Greenbank founder Doog Moody, 56, gets together with current and former members of his group Chameleon.

There’ll be live music on both days and anyone who fancies having a go on any instrument is welcome to come in and jam along with the professionals.

Maxi Mum – a staggering 25ft high - will welcome visitors to the Village’s Cobden Street site.

Luton mayor cllr Sheila Roden has agreed to be there to release celebratory balloons which will also mark the start of Peace One Day, an initiative to spend one day a year in harmony.

Genial Doog – “Just call me the idiot behind all this” – said the anniversary marked three decades of sweet sounding success for the organisation that now also reaches out to children with autism.
