Shimmy on down to the UK Centre for Carnival Arts this weekend and see some of the most legendary samba dancers in the world for free.
They’ll be appearing at Brazilian Carnival Encontro, an annual events that brings together some of the best samba musicians and performers on the planet.
Iconic Brazilian dance instructor Mariana Pinho will lead a free carnival dance workshop for families on Saturday (September 7) from 10am.
It’s for mums, dads, kids and people of all ages who enjoy dancing or would simply like to try something new. You can also listen to the fabulous beat of the UK’s top Samba bands – they include Norwich Samba, Bloco de Sul, Toque Tambor and Rhythms of the City.
In addition to the worshops and spectacular performances you’ll be able to sample some tasty Brazilian cuisine and get into the party spirit with an authentic Caipirinho cocktail.
Creative director Pax Nindi said: “We want Luton to have the chance to experience a real Brazilian carnival – there’s something for everyone.”
