VIDEO: Warriors, are you ready?

Warriors! Are you ready for the Warrior Adrenaline Race?

After the phenomenal success of the first W.A.R. in April, Regiment Fitness are challenging would-be-warriors to another tough course of mud, muscle-ache and misery – with a huge dollop of fun, fitness and fundraising thrown in too of course.

The 5km and 10km races with army-style obstacles take place on Dunstable Downs on September 22.

It’s the only muddy obstacle race in Bedfordshire, and while the 10km is a tough challenge for those looking to push themselves, the 5km is a shorter and less-hilly route which is ideal for fitness beginners.

You can enter on your own, take part with friends to spur each other on, or even run in a team of four carrying a log for added fun!

There will be prizes for the winners and runners-up in all the main categories. Even little warriors don’t have to miss out, as there’s a junior 5km race on the same day.

Myself and Herald & Post colleague Richard Redman took part in the 10km and 5km races in April.

Richard said: “Completing W.A.R under my target time was a great achievement – and I had fun doing it. You won’t get anywhere near the finish line without training, but that makes the feat all the more satisfying. I caught the W.A.R bug and kept up my training after the race, so I’m aiming to beat my time next month.”

Whether you’re looking for a new challenge, fundraising for charity or just want a fun wet and muddy experience, Regiment Fitness guarantee you’ll love W.A.R.
