It’s half term and time to take advantage of all the free offers out there - including how to play the ukelele at the UK Centre for Carnival Arts.
On Friday (November 1) Music Net East are hosting a free music workshop from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to have a fun-filled and enjoyable afternoon learning a new skill.
It’s open to everyone aged five and upwards, from absolute beginners to keen amateurs.
During the session experienced teacher and strummer Eric Lavansch will take the goup through some basic ukelele chords and drumming techniques.
By the end of the class students will be able to play some popular tunes and will no doubt indulge in some sing-alongs too.
Creative director Pax Nindi said; “Families are always looking for fun things to do at half term.
“This free music workshop is the perfect opportunity for children and young families to spend some quality time together learning new skills in a fun and friendly environment.”
