Antony Costa will be putting down his microphone and taking to the stage by playing Prince Charming in Cinderella when it comes to The Grove Theatre in Dunstable.

He appears alongside former Eastenders actors Leslie Grantham and Joshua Pascoe in the extravaganza staged from Friday, December 11, to Sunday January 3.

Will Cinderella meet the man of her dreams?

Will Prince Charming win our heroine’s heart? And will the Ugly Sisters stop Cinders from going to the ball? All will be revealed this Christmas, in the spectacular pantomime, Cinderella!

Antony said: “It’s Prince Charming and I’ve never played this part before so I’m really excited.

“I’ve returned to pantomime because I actually love it

“I really loved the production company Magic Beans and the producer Jamie was great to talk to and I was convinced that it was a good decision. I would say come down, leave your troubles outside and enjoy a great production of Cinderella.”

He is also looking forward to returning to Dunstable to perform.

Antony added: “I was here in 2007 in Blood Brothers.

“I love the venue it’s got great acoustics and the audiences were fab.”

He is still best known for being one part of the boyband Blue and he was surprised by the band’s initial success at the turn of the millennium.

Antony said: “Not really it was a mad and exciting experience for all of us in the band.

“It’s great to get the second bite of the cherry again and be able to gig and tour with the lads .”

Cinderella will feature a five piece band, stunning sets and costumes, and all the laughs and traditions that panto entails.

Tickets for the show cost from £13.50 to £24.50.

These can be booked by calling the box office on 01582 60 20 80 or by visiting the website at www.grovetheatre.co.uk.
