Panto fun heading to London via a village

Dick Whittington in Eaton Bray
Dick Whittington in Eaton Bray

The traditional pantomime character Dick Whittington will be making an appearance this month alongside his faithful companion Fluffy at Eaton Bray Village Hall.

The show will feature the talents of the Curtain Call Theatre Group and the Edlesbray Players, who have joined forces for this year’s performance.

The show will also include the children from the Curtain Call Youth Theatre.

Join Dick in his mission to seek his fortune, but be warned, there is a nasty rat and her team of rodents to foil his plans!

With a full supporting cast, plenty of fun, laughter and toe-tapping music, there is plenty for everyone at this year’s village show.

Will Dick ever get to London, will the cheese be safe from the rats, will the Dame ever stop flirting?

To find the answers, and join the fun in this ‘not to be missed’ pantomime, go and see it from Friday, January 29.

The story for this year’s tale has been written by the group founder Gavyn Lugsden, who also directs the show.

This year’s production has been sponsored by Christopher Pallet estate agents, Edlesborough.

The pantomime takes place at 7pm on Friday, 2pm and 7pm on Saturday and 2pm and 6pm on Sunday.

Tickets cost between £5 and £7 depending on the performance date.
