Stockwood Discovery Centre and Wardown Park Museum have both received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award.
And both have plenty to keep visitors happy over the next few weeks.
Now in its fifth year, the award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve strong reviews on the TripAdvisor website.
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor takes into account the quality, quantity and frequency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period, as well as ranking on the Popularity Index on the site. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
Karen Perkins, director of arts and museums for Luton Culture, said: “We are delighted. It is a true source of pride for the entire team at Luton Culture and we’d like to thank all of our recent visitors who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor.
Stockwood Discovery Centre will be running an exhibition and series of activities entitled Bricks in Motion – The History of Transport in Lego. It will run from Saturday July 4 to Sunday September 6.
Various other special days are planned at the centre, including a Bee and Honey Day on Sunday July 26 with demonstrations of beekeeping, and displays of stationary steam engines every Wednesday from July 29 to August 19.
Meanwhile, Wardown Park Museum is currently showing 100 Images of Immigration, featuring photographs which tell a story about migration and aim to bring social and cultural history to life, shedding light on different people’s experiences, and the connections we have across all cultures.
