Armed police have stood down from an incident in Luton after reports of a gun in a house.

A Beds Police spokesman said: "We were called at 3.25pm to reports that a firearm had been seen at a property in Rondini Avenue, Luton.

"Authorised firearms officers were deployed to the scene and following a number of enquiries, no offences were identified.

"All present in the property were found to be safe.
