LUTON’S Muslims have pledged to raise £10,000 for Keech Hospice Care this year.
It is hoped this will lead to a long-term partnership between the community and the charity.
Giving is a fundamental aspect of the Islamic faith, part of its Five Pillars of practice.
At the Discover Islam centre where the collaboration was announced, spokesman Abdul Ghafor said: “This is the first step in building a relationship.”
