Jake Howells: 6.5 - Welshman was a real threat on the flank, but without ever really shedding the shackles.

Scott Griffiths: 6.5 - Skinned once, but stuck to his task well against another lively winger.

Andy Parry: 6 - Far too quiet in the centre of midfield as he never really seemed to get into the game.

Luke Guttridge: 6.5 - Frittered away Luton’s best two chances with poor finishes, but was again Town’s most influential midfielder.

Ronnie Henry: 6.5 - Skipper made a couple of important interventions on a day when all Town’s defenders had to be switched on.

Paul Benson: 6.5 - Was well marshalled by Heed’s defence, but didn’t give them a moment’s rest.

Andre Gray: 6 - Never really got free of the Tynesiders’ back four, but did make a nuisance of himself.

Alex Lacey: 6.5 - Youngster battled hard against old head Hatch as he helped the Hatters to another clean sheet.
