Luton secured their place in the second tier for another season with a drama-filled 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night. The visitors scored two own goals in the first half, before James Collins' penalty proved to be enough to keep the Hatters up. To find out how the hosts rated on the evening, see below.
1. Simon Sluga: 7.5
One sprawling stop in the first half, the keeper had no chance with either of Rovers goals. Kept cool during that frantic finale, only coming off his line once to punch clear. Will have learnt so much from his debut season in England.
2. James Bree: 8.5
Crossing from open play was uncharacteristically off from recent games, but set-pieces weren't as his free-kick and corner led to Rovers' two own goals. Defending was spot on as well, making a number of excellent clearing headers.
3. Martin Cranie: 8.5
Recovered from his head injury suffered at the weekend to turn in an excellent shift in his unfavoured role at left back. Did exactly what was asked of him and his experience proved invaluable during Rovers' late rally.
4. Cameron Carter-Vickers: 9
The Spurs loanee further enhanced his already impressive reputation as when Rovers went longer and longer he was there to repel the danger. Has made such an impact since arriving and hopefully not his last outing in a Luton shirt.
