The Hatters had fallen behind in Wales, Andy Holt scoring on 31 minutes, but levelled through Curtis Davies' first goal for the club (52), sealing the points just seven minutes later, courtesy of Chris Coyne's thumping header. Below, the Luton News takes a special look at just who took to the field for Town that day.
1. GK: Marlon Beresford
A regular between the posts for Luton, playing 38 times and keeping 15 clean sheets in total as Town romped to the title. Still visits Kenilworth Road where he does radio punditry.
2. RB: Kevin Foley
Full back played 39 times in his second full season for the Hatters. Scored two goals as well, including one in the 3-2 win at Hartlepool. Now working for the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
3. LB: Sol Davis
Missed just one game during the season against the other Hatters, Stockport County, as he started 45 matches. Found the net twice too, when Luton hit five both times, against Wrexham and Bristol City.
4. CB: Curtis Davies
Enjoyed a superb first full campaign for Luton, partnering Coyne in what was a solid Town back-line. Maiden goal brought the scores level as he prodded into the net from a left-wing corner.
