These are some of the most serious offenders who were awarded jail sentences throughout the month. This is not a list of all the offenders who were jailed, but of those who have committed offences so serious, Bedfordshire Police have deemed it worthy to release their custody photographs to the public.
1. Jason Smith, 34
Smith was jailed for 10 and a half years for a string of burglaries, including homes, cars and shops. During one raid on a shop he threatened a man with a screwdriver, before taking the till and car keys. Photo: Bedfordshire Police
2. Mohiussannath Chowdhury, 29
Chowdry was sentenced to a minimum of 25 years at Woolwich Crown Court after plotting a terrorist attack on the London Pride Parade. Photo: Bedfordshire Police
3. Khaled Miah, 40
The former teacher was jailed for 16 months for sending sexually explicit messages, images and videos to young girls. He will also be added to the Sex Offenders Register, and will be made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for ten years. Photo: Bedfordshire Police
4. Samuel Hussain, 21
Hussain was caught smoking cannabis and found to be carrying a stash of £10 and £5 notes, along with a “burner style” mobile phone that contained evidence of buying and selling Class A drugs, just weeks after being released from prison on licence. Photo: Bedfordshire Police
