Midfielder Charlie Smith featured as Hitchin Town won 2-0 in their Calor Southern League Premier Division clash at Bashley on Tuesday night, writes Mike Simmonds.
Smith set up Matt Lench’s first goal, while a penalty for Simon Martin completed the scoring as Town U18 striker Jemale McKenzie-Lowe came off the bench in the second half for the Canaries.
Meanwhile, Solomon Taiwo was an unused substitute as Aldershot beat Chester 2-0 in the Skrill Premier.
