Aylesbury made the visitors pay for their lack of a killer instinct as the first half drew to a close when Ben Stevens’ free kick was sweetly volleyed in by Bradley Wadkins.

As Barton piled forward, they were hit on the counter when Haule found Ollie Burgess who drilled home.

Meanwhile, Rovers reached the final of the North Beds Charity Cup with a confident 5-0 win at Molten Spartan SML Division One side Langford on Thursday night.
Rovers took the lead through Kenny Ogbuagu and were 2-0 up thanks to Ryan Smales.
In the second period, a third arrived on 55 minutes when Rob Norman tapped in, while Cody O’Neill added a penalty and Smales completed the scoring late on to set up a final with Ampthill Town.
