Kevin Precious will be the compere as three acclaimed comics take to the stage for the Barnstormers night.

Animated raconteur Andy White is an energetic, confident Brummie who combines silly voices and a ‘mad afro’ to devastating comic effect. Andy has numerous media appearences, including the BBC New Comedy Awards on BBC Choice, Brand Spanking New on BBC Radio 7 and his winning performance on the Weakest Link comedians’ special. Website Chortle described him as “undeniably entertaining”.

Anthony King has a wealth of experience on the national comedy circuit, with over 20 years of gigs in the UK. His unique deadpan style was honed in the early 1990s in London before the circuit expanded to what it is today. He’s as at home with a quiet listening audience as he is in the bustle of a rowdy club and has a set full of punchlines. Chortle has praised his one-liners, saying: “Each one is an elegant example of perfect joke construction.”

Stefano Paolini is a full time professional stand-up comedian. He started performing in 2000 and turned professional in 2003. He is a regular face on the national and international comedy circuit, where his mixture of stand-up comedy, characters, impressions and beatboxing have seen him perform in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Singapore, Germany, Malta, France and Italy. The Stage has hailed his “remarkable repertoire of voices and sounds”.

It takes place on Thursday September 17. Tickets are £12.50 in advance and £15 on the door. Visit grovetheatre.co.uk or call 01582 60 20 80.
