Circus troupe helps Keech

The organisation is a not-for-profit UK circus troupe which tours the UK giving disadvantaged and disabled children and their families the opportunity to have a fun day out.

The show is heading to Herts County Showground, Dunstable Road, on Sunday, October 12, with hilarious antics from Nicoline the Clown, aerial strap performances from the Serik Brothers, juggling acrobatics from the Velenciuc Troupe, knife balancing acts from Miss Lara and the graceful aerial skills of Victoria Boyko on the Corde Lisse.

Any surplus funds raised by the show are donated to Keech Hospice Care.

Keech Hospice provides care for adults and children with life-limiting conditions and provide support for their families and carers.

A spokesperson for Keech said: “We were delighted to have been chosen by Circus Starr as their charity for Luton and Milton Keynes.

“The complimentary tickets are sponsored by local business and given to families of the chosen charity and other groups who support poor/disadvantaged and sick children.

“We will be having an awareness stand and bucket collections at the shows.”

Circus Starr director, Neville Wilson said: “The children we invite to our shows face many challenges.

“Some have physical disabilities or learning difficulties, others have life limiting illnesses or are living in refuges.

“For all of them, life is a struggle and few ever have the chance to experience a live show such as ours.

“We simply could not do this without the support we receive from Luton businesses from the big corporations to the sole traders, every donation we receive makes a difference to these children’s lives.”

The organisation was established in 1987, it provides new opportunities for children and their families to enjoy the live performance and create memories that will last a lifetime.
