God Save the Queen from Pistols tribute

The Wheatsheaf in North Street will play host to The Pistols – a Sex Pistols tribute band.

The group was formed in London and started playing in 2004.

The Pistols do “the whole authentic thing” and aim to replicate the raw sounds and sights of the original band from the 1970s.

The group’s front man Paul even could be mistaken for the legendary Jonny Rotten himself.

You can be sure to hear a number of the band’s classic songs including Anarchy in the UK, God Save the Queen and Pretty Vacant.

The tunes will be mixed in with some raucous banter and plenty of ‘pogoing’ from the audience and perhaps Rotten, Vicious, Cook and Jones will even repeat ‘My Way’ – just like the real thing.

The set will last 90 minutes and will transport the audience back to the 70s.

Prior to their appearance their will be a chance for aspiring musicians to make a name for themselves with the Open Mic Night on Friday.
