Help the hospice - be a superhero

Keech Hospice Care wants everyone to become a caped crusader for the day.

All you have to do is dress up as your favourite superhero and take part in a sponsored run at Stockwood Discovery Centre at 11.30am on Sunday (June 2).

Keech spokesman Mark Relf said: “We’re used to seeing heroes at the hospice every day, from the nurses who work tirelessly to give our patients the highest quality care and the patients themselves who are so couarageous, through to their families whom we support.”

He added: “We know there are also hundreds of heroes in the community who just need an opportunity to don their capes and help raise vital funds for Keech.

“The word hospice often conjures up images of sad and depressing places but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

“Keech staff may not be able to add days to life but they certainly try to add life to days.

“Making precious memories is key to what we do.

“We would love to see as many supporters as possible make the event a success.

“The whole family can get involved and it will be a great day out.”
