Incognito wow on Britain’s Got Talent

Luton’s Gospel Singers Incognito were pinching themselves this weekend after all four judges on Britain’s Got Talent waxed lyrical about their Saturday night performance.

Simon Cowell described them as “seriously fantastic” and added: “One of the best choirs we’ve had on the show, if not the best.”

A clearly stunned Alesha Dixon said: “That was incredible. It was just perfect. Beautiful.”

Amanda Holden, equally moved, commented: “Oh my goodness – that was just so powerful and soulful and heart-wrenching.”

Comedian David Walliams confessed their singing was so inspiring “it made me want to go to church”.

And Declan Donnelly of presenting duo Ant and Dec said: “That was like hairs-on-the-back-of-your-neck business.”

Pastor Patrick George of Dunstable’s Breath of Life Ministry said God was on GSI’s side on Saturday night as they sang to the biggest audience they’d ever faced.

Choir member Gail Windrass of High Town, who teaches singing at Barnfield Academy, said: “It’s been amazing, overwhelming, emotional.

“Now we have to wait and see what happens.

“The great thing is we’re a team. The fact we’re one big family makes a massive difference.”
