Hide AdA total of 2,000 artistes took part in the original series and now a glittering galaxy of stars is taking to the stage to delight and entertain all over again – portraying, with great wit and warmth, a truly golden age.
After the Victorian era, music hall rose in prominence and popularity once more at the start of the First World War.
This much-loved form of entertainment was an important part of the war effort and was used at charity events as a means to raise money and keep spirits high.
In this centenary year of remembrance, Magnificent Music Hall will feature a selection of the great songs that kept the home fires burning.
