It’s all happening on Tuesday, November 11 from 10.30am until 2.30pm to mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War.

There will of course be a two minute silence for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice during four years of devastation and destruction.

It was a turning point in history, claiming millions of lives from more than 14 countries and involving almost every continent on earth.

And whether it’s through family ties, local heritage or a keen passion for the past, we still find ourselves connected to this significant event a century after it started.

Grove spokeswoman Becca Henry said: “Many organisations, charities, companies and educational institutions are joining in a global commemoration of this centennial year by hosting events and memorial days to mark this anniversary. We’re delighted to be part of this remembrance season.”
She added: “Why not extend your visit by staying on to watch the screening of The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp?”

Tickets for the one-off commemorative event are just £12.50, with an additional £3.50 if you stay for the movie.
