Lives of others aren’t private in 1930s show

It can be seen from Friday, November 20, to Saturday, November 28, and is to be performed by Dunstable Rep.

The show has been described by the production team as like Downton Abbey and is a riotous examination of love, marriage and never quite getting over ‘the one’.

Director Annalise Carter-Brown said: “Most people know and love Blithe Spirit. Private Lives shares so much with the ghostly fantasy. But it is also sharper.

“It’s ‘Made In Chelsea’ with added class and the wonderful acid words of the fabulous Noel Coward.

“If you’ve ever been in love, you’ll love this. The cast are fabulous, the script is piercingly accurate and it’s all wrapped up in a beautiful ‘30s Art Deco package. Divine fun, darling!”

The play has recently been revived in the West End and starred Toby Stephens and Anna Chancellor in the lead roles.

The cast of this show is led by Jaymes Sygrove as Elyot, Megan Clarke as Sybil.

Making up the rest of the cast is Anthony Bird as Victor, Leanne Lyndsey White as Amanda while Louise is played by Sarah Payne.
